A recent occurrence in a small village in Italy has answered the prayers, and given life to one of the oldest comic sentiments in the wine world.

The residents of Settecani, a small village in Modena, Italy, woke up to fine there usual daily morning tasks thrown off by the sudden appearance of red wine pouring from the water taps in their homes. Local winery Cantina Settecani Castelvetro experienced technical problems the night before, causing wine to leak from their silo into the water pipes.

The issue was quickly fixed, but it was discovered that some local residents had been bottling as much wine as they could before the job was finished - we say well done to them!

To all you wine lover's out there, if you ever find yourself in the same situation, remember to serve your miracle Lambrusco at 48°F, enjoy!
